Nippy's Waikerie Producers

Nippy's Waikerie Producers Pty Ltd is a citrus Packing and Processing complex situated on Ian Oliver Drive on the eastern edge of the township in the Riverland of South Australia.

Originally set up in 1914 as a Growers Co-operative to pack and sell dried fruit, it is now a privately owned company as part of the Knispel family group of companies dealing mainly in citrus fruit and juices. Some fresh fruit and stone fruit is packed on the growers behalf when in season.

Approximately 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes of citrus are handled annually and the season extends for 12 months of the year.

Depending on quality and demand, 50-80% of fruit is sized and sorted for packing, which is destined for Export and Domestic sales. Citrus is exported to the USA, UK, South East asia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Japan.

The fruit is sourced from local and Riverland fruit-growers who deliver to convenient depots or directly to the Waikerie plant. As well, Nippy's owns and manages approx. 600 acres of our own orchards.

The bottling plant produces and sells a variety of 100% juice product and 35% fruit juice drinks for our subsiduary, Nippy's All Seasons Pty Ltd.

Nippy's All Seasons Pty Ltd, based in Sydney, is a warehouse and distribution outlet for our juice products.

The products include 100% orange, apple, grapefruit, lemon, tomato, pear, pineapple and apple/blackcurrent and35% orange, orange/mango, orange passionfruit, lemonagde and tropical island crush. Franchise distributors sell these products direct to sydney households, as well as route trade and grocery outlets.

These products can be purchased locally through factory door sales outlet, along with fresh citrus in season.
